Urban Soul spreading to Montreal!

Our wonderful friend Mark Dunwoody who is based in Montreal, Canada, is running an Urban Soul event from the 31st of May to the 1st of June!

Urban Soul is a two-day service project for high school students.

By partnering with local downtown missions, we seek to serve their aims and empower them to achieve their dreams. Urban Soul gathers young people who are passionate about social action.

The underlying values that motivate and guide Urban Soul are those taught and demonstrated by Jesus. His life and message show us that loving God is just the beginning and that we are also called to actively love our neighbours.
Urban Soul seeks to deliver hope, bestow dignity, bring equality of opportunity and inspire long-term change.

Let’s support the Urban Soul team as they serve in their local community!

CMS Ireland Magazine

CMS Ireland inMission Magazine for Summer 2009 (available free online) featured a challenging article to get involved in Urban Soul.

“There are many opportunities to make Christ known in our own local communities, in our towns and villages, places of work and recreation. The current economic climate may well bring to light such opportunities where recent prosperity has masked the inner brokenness of society. If we dare to seek God’s heart for our communities, we may be surprised by the need for His grace, love and mercy and by the places He leads us to.”
